Just like the Mugs post, I’ll throw some of my favorite bowls from the first half of the year here in one post.
Top Pots of 2015
If you were keeping score at home, I struck out more times than Michael Jordan playing baseball when it came to keeping my blog updated in 2015. So I’ll show you a few of my favorite pots from the entire year here in one post. To see more selected work from 2015 click here.
Top Pots of 2014
Here are some of my favorite pots that I made in 2014. Other than the wood fired cups these are all fired to ^6 oxidation.
Bowls Are Few and Far Between
I just haven’t made a lot of bowls lately. Cups are a higher priority right now. I like the shape and they are a easier to glaze. Since I’m still mostly experimenting with glazes the cups have been much more in demand.
Here is one small bowl that I really like. I love the shape and the glaze is nice. Jen’s Juicy Fruit over Dark Brown on the outside. I wish it were a little larger.
Glaze Fire Results from May
Here are a few pots from the last glaze fire. ^6 oxidation. Stoneware: Warm Brown or Buff Stoneware by Amaco.
Still trying a lot of different glaze combinations and trying decals on different glazes.
I’ll be glazing another load in the next few days. I hope to start concentrating on a few glazes and combinations that I like in hopes of a more defined body of work.
