Closeup Photos: Pots and Tools

When I’m not teaching or making pots, I like to learn about photography. My wife and I do portraits but I have more fun shooting sports, nature and closeup or macro shots.

I recently took a number of photos of some recent pottery and some pottery ribs that I’ve purchased. I’m using a macro attachment on a kit lens so it’s nothing fancy. Probably not even true macro but I got some nice detail shots. For more info about the subject matter: pottery and pottery ribs.

In the future I’d like to invest in a better macro lens. Not only for detail shots of pottery, but shots of nature or other interesting things.

I purchased a bowl for my yarn when I’m crocheting . I love it but can you make one that’s long for a skain of red heart yarn . The opening would be at the end not the center . If you make it post it so I can see it. Thanks Gracie
