Here are some of my favorite pots that I made in 2014. Other than the wood fired cups these are all fired to ^6 oxidation.
Shot Glasses or Tiny Cups
I love making these tiny little cups. First, they are easy and quick. Second, they are great for testing glazes. Third, they fill in spaces between the bigger pieces in the kiln.
All fired wheel thrown, stoneware clay, fired to ^6 in oxidation.
Buff Stoneware clay with various glaze combinations:
A Few Mugs
A small selection of wheel thrown, stoneware mugs from the past few firings. All fired to cone 6 in oxidation.
Here are four that I really like:
Wheel Thrown Cups
A selection of cups from recent firings. All fired to cone 6 in oxidation.
My Favorites
These four juice cups are made with Buff Stoneware by Amaco. Light Brown glaze on the inside and Dark Brown on the outside with Jen’s Juicy Fruit around the tops, running down.
Wood Fired Cups
Here is a closer look at the wood fired cups that were fired in Bill Kremer’s Notre Dame wood kiln.
Let’s start with the best results:
