Here are a few samples of a shoot we did way back in October.

The alternate title of this post that I was rolling around was “What I Really Got for Christmas” as a callback to my previous post about a clean and remodeled studio. As you’ll see, I have done my fair share to help the economy, especially the clay tool and pottery literature economy.
I love tools. Any kind of tools but especially clay tools. So it was a great day when I saw that ClayKing.com was having a Black Friday sale. Some things were over 50% off! I picked up a few rollers which I hope to use for texture and maybe add some interest to handles.
A new addition to the studio is in place. Earlier today I rolled out the first slab on my brand new North Star Porta Roller!
I bought this little bundle of metal and moxie way back in November. It arrived in two packages:
Here’s another quick update which I should have finished months ago. Way back when it was warm outside, I ordered myself some glaze chemicals. My largest order to date, in preparation to mix some of my own glazes and do a lot of testing.
So here’s an attempt to summarize what has been going on in the clay studio for the past two months. If you’re looking for pottery, you’ll have to look elsewhere. I haven’t made a pot in about two months. I hope I remember how…
What I’ve actually been doing is putting up some new shelves and cleaning every square inch of every surface. I started way back during Christmas Break. And right now I have a completely clean and organized studio which I hope improves my efficiency when/if? I ever start making pottery again. (Don’t worry, before I added the images to this post I got down into the studio and threw about 15 cylinders.)
