Zombie Run Trophy Sculptures – Part 1

I’m a sculptor!

Well, maybe not. But I learned a lot while working on a special project over the past month. In fact, this project seemed to be a master class in problem solving.

Zombie Run

Zombie Run!

My task was to create two statues to use as trophies for the West Noble Zombie Run which took place on November 3rd. So I started by brainstorming some ideas and doing a few “clay sketches” to see what might work.

It took a little sawing to get into the gear box but it was worth it. I can’t wait to try some of these on some actual pots. I think some of the new glazes that I recently tested will look nice over some of these textures.

Also, a little bonus texture: I snagged a few of these baby rings. Thanks Quin!

Clay Studio Cam

Logo Mugs Drying

Logo Mugs Drying

I think I have about enough mugs and other items to bisque fire in the next week.  I had some orders for Little Charger mugs before Christmas Break so I’ve got those ready to go.  I also had some requests for mugs with other logos.  The stamps that I ordered came in at the end of last week so I’ve got a few more logo mugs drying.  I was on top of things this time so no casualties yet and they are now almost completely dry.
